Property Pros takes pride in serving our community and supporting local initiatives with our resources, time, and money. One of our favorite organizations to contribute and give back to is School on Wheels. 

School on Wheels’ mission is to provide one-on-one tutoring and educational advocacy for school-aged children impacted by homelessness. This organization provides tutoring to hundreds of kids each year in the Indianapolis area. School on Wheels has grown to serve nearly 400 children annually at 16 partner sites with the help of nearly 450 volunteer tutors. Through each of their programs, they not only work with children, but with the parents so they can become the best advocates for their child’s education.

Due to COVID-19, School on Wheels was not able to hold their annual in-person Education Celebration event and instead had a virtual fundraiser.  We knew this would be a tough time for the organization and that the pandemic might negatively impact the amount they’d be able to raise.  As a result, we decided to donate all of our design retainers for the month of May.  After finalizing the numbers, we happily presented Kate Hussey, COO of School on Wheels, a check for $7,500 this July.  With our help and the generosity of several other individuals, School on Wheels was able to surpass their fundraising goal of $35,000 and ended up raising $43,850!  We have a responsibility to the communities we operate in, and we were honored to be able to support them.
