At Property Pros, we thrive on extending a home’s entertainment space outdoors and turning the backyard into a place that family and friends can enjoy for many years to come. For this project, our client came to us with a request to make their existing pool area easily accessible for all, while completely revitalizing their current design. We had the unique opportunity to add a wheelchair ramp from the driveway to the pool deck, so all members of the family could utilize the space.
Jeff Mull, Executive Director/Head of Design & Sales, worked with our client to create a custom backyard design that incorporated a new pool area, several spaces for entertaining, and a firepit for cool fall evenings. It took about three weeks for us to completely demolish their existing concrete pool deck, install a new pool, and add a new pool deck and paver patio. We completed the design with landscaping, two cedar pergolas, and a gazebo. Now, they have a seamless, fully functional outdoor living space with multiple areas that join together – ideal for large gatherings for all members of the family!
“One of the challenges was when our team removed the existing concrete, we realized the pool needed a thorough inspection. The client’s pool company deemed it necessary to replace the entire pool, because the old sectional fiberglass had become brittle and was flaking. We ended up ordering a new fiberglass pool at the last minute, and we installed it as quickly as possible to stay on track with the project. We also had to work around the inclement weather at the beginning, as it rained throughout May and June.”
